D. Callaghan Joiners & Builders
Fifty years of word of mouth, and nowhere to send anyone. A photography-led site for a family-run Bathgate builder whose whole argument is that the joinery, the building and the steel are one team.

01
The brief
D. Callaghan has been building across Bathgate and West Lothian since 1974. The new site had to carry that: calm, editorial and trust-first, leading with real project photography and making it effortless to see the work and ask for a quote.
02
Key objectives
- 01Turn 50 years of word-of-mouth into online enquiries
- 02Lead with real project photography, never stock
- 03Make a free-quote enquiry the obvious next step on every page
- 04Lay local-SEO foundations for Bathgate and West Lothian searches

03
What we built
An editorial, trust-first design
Warm serif type, generous space and full-bleed project photography signal craft and permanence, the qualities a fifty-year-old family firm is really selling.
Local SEO baked in
LocalBusiness structured data, clear service and location signals and a fast, semantic build set Callaghan up to be found for the Bathgate and West Lothian searches that matter.
One clear path to a quote
Every page routes to a single, low-friction free-quote action, so an impressed visitor never has to hunt for how to get in touch.
Eleven jobs, told as before and after
Russell Crescent, Deer Park, Winchburgh and eight more, each its own page and each structured the same way: the build, then the result. A builder's work is the argument, so the site is mostly photographs of it.
Their own customers doing the selling
Six reviews carried over from their Facebook page, named and attached to the job each person had done. A two-storey extension finished on time reads very differently when Kerry Millar says it.

04
Features we built
- Eleven project write-ups, from first footings to finished room
- Six services, extensions through to steel and structural work
- The four-step process, free site visit to aftercare
- Six named customer reviews, carried over from Facebook
- Structured data as a local construction business
- Free-quote route on every page
05
The result
Fifty years of work now has an address. Eleven jobs are written up with the photographs to match, the six trades are set out on one page, and every route through the site ends at a free quote. A recommendation that used to end with a phone number now ends with somewhere to look first.
